Shedash Town is a small town that is only populated by ladies. It lies close to an ancient forest and near the crash site of a mysterious object. The town has different modes of operations it seems, and it depends on the season. The residents are very friendly (some may even say too friendly) to any visitor. The population is usually steady throughout the year. However, it will climb if there's females born with male partners that have left their mate. Mother-daughter relationships will result in population increase and Mother-Father-Child and Mother-Son relationships will both result in the mother leaving and freeing a house. The limit on the population at this time is 120, as there are only 120 houses. Shedashians are super cuddly by nature and are extremely kind. They have different patterns according to the seasons.
Shedash Town also goes through festivals throughout the year. The fall season has the most festivals out of all the seasons. Winter has no festivals, since Shedashians hibernate and hide in their shelter during the winters.
In the spring, during the first full week, the Shedashians hold an Awakening Festival to celebrate a new year. Shedashians frequently visit each other during this time, whether outside or in their houses. The town square hosts at least two dances during the festival, though this number is usually higher than the minimum. Up to one dance a day is held. Some Shedashians take advantage of this opportunity and perform mating dances, wearing the prettiest clothing they can, and flashing all the colours their clothing feature in hopes of attracting the love of their life. Sometimes campfire sessions are held in the town as well and they camp outdoors in the town.
The second festival in spring is the Linking Festival, where Shedashians decorate themselves and their houses in strong efforts to find a mate. This festival occurs during the first ten days of May. Shedashians are extremely loving and kind, even more so than their default levels as this is when their natural desire for a mate is usually at it's peak. There's all sorts of interesting interactions that go on during this festival. The town itself is usually well decorated in all sorts of flowers, houses are much cleaner than their usual clean, flashy lighting is up and the residents are dressed in very cute colours. Shops that are designed with travellers in mind usually host their sales during this time as well to attract travellers. This is also the time that rare items could be stocked. Statistics show that fifty to seventy percent of those who find a mate obtain it at this festival.
When summer comes along there's also two festivals that are hosted. The first festival is the Settle Festival. This festival is a party kind of festival that celebrates the establishment of Shedash Town. There is a nice long fireworks show and there's lots of dancing and fun. Expect tons of fun if you like parties. The second festival occurs after the first major rainfall. The Soaked Festival involves all sorts of water activities. Slip slides are laid out and there's plenty of bikinis and skin. There's dances and it is frequent that one will be soaked while dancing. It's all about the water in this festival. This festival lasts one to three days, depending on how long it remains wet for.
Fall is festival season. Fall starts with many tasks on getting the town ready for winter. After the first month, October starts with the Harvest Festival. Shedashians have an affiliation that comes in with the harvests of the year. While most are females and some are married males, once in a while there will be a lone male who also takes part in creating harvests. They are often mysterious. When the harvests come in, this is when the festival starts, so the starting time can vary from the first day of October to the middle of the month. The celebration lasts about three to five days depending on harvest size.
The second fall festival is the Raise the Dead Ritual. Usually the day occurs on October 13th. This day is a rather creepy day, as the ladies dress in creepy costumes and the vibe of the town usually becomes pretty creepy. Shedashians play pranks on each other and perform acts that are of a creepy nature. This is said to gather all the undead that are present in the town. Later on, near the end of the day, they all dance a very specific dance, in which fireworks are launched in the middle of the dance and flares set off at the end of the dance. This is said to send the dead to the sky and off of the planet. Raise the Dead is not meant to make the dead lie again, but to have them move onto their next life.
The third festival is the Lady Winter Blessing. Shedashians dress in some pretty winter attire for about a week from the start of November. These dresses are usually classy and flowy. This festival is said to make the winters less harsh by paying Lady Winter her due respects. There's dancing and there's a parade and plenty of confetti. The festival usually ends with wishes cast for a less harsh winter. Winters in Shedash Town are believed to have less harsh days due to this festival.
The final festival of the fall is two or three days before December, the start of the winter season. The Slumber Fest is when all the singles visit each other and sleep over. This celebration takes place until the day before winter, in which everyone returns to their houses and prepares for the winter months. Shedashians walk around in their comfy pyjamas, even when outdoors. They're usually warm and fuzzy, despite the colder weather. At the closing of this festival the town usually goes from somewhat active to completely quiet.
In early winter, the residents are pretty inactive, hiding from the cold weather. They use their stocked basement cellars to maintain the energy they require to survive the winters. If a resident has a child or children under a full year old, they will nurture the offspring with or without their mate over the winter. The residents are a lot more cuddly for temperature purposes during the winter, and early winter's when it usually starts. Mid-winter will be when residents sleep more than 12 hours a day, since there's only so much that can be done in the house. At this time the females are usually the cuddliest and at this portion of the season there's usually next to no activity outside. Late winter is when activity begins to pick up. Females who still have their male partner and/or a male child begin to plan for their departure from the town. Residents who are alone or who have a female child will remain in the houses and prepare for another year in the town. Towards the end of the winter season, the females will begin to head outside more often. At melting, the females will be out an average amount of time.
In early spring the females will be quite active. They will be actively walking around the city, seeking mates. Single male travellers will be their aim. Since the females are of such a peaceful nature, they will display maximum kindness. They will often become flirty when they want a male as their mate. Shedashians will usually approach the male and 'break the ice'. They will then proceed to complement them and sometimes make flirty contact. After this the resident will ask or convince the male to head to their house. When brought inside, the female locks the door (which does alarm some males), but this is when she gets cuddly. Many travellers describe this behaviour as really kind and extremely loving. Residents that find a mate in early spring usually take it a little more slow compared to mid spring. Mid-spring is the most active time for the town. Any male traveller that is not already with a partner will be approached right away and treated really nicely. It will not take long before being asked or lured to the female's house. Locking of the door then lots of affection, cuddling and mating. By mid-spring, most females who have found mates have begun pregnancy. Late spring can be extremely active or only moderately active. There are some females who really desire a mate, who will approach males and flirt excessively and hug a lot, then there are some who will introduce themselves and gradually build to asking them to their house.
Early summer is usually a very cuddly portion for the town. The unpaired citizens are generally active, out and about. They still love to flirt and lure men who travel, but they will not mate until the following year. The men are likely to be dismissed by the fall season, but strongly encouraged to return in the spring. Shedashians sometimes refer this to 'reserve a mate'. Most of the time this works, at other times, when the man decides not to return, the female seeks a new mate. Mid summer is when babies begin to be born. The residents with partners will still be very cuddly. This is where the man is given a choice to leave the lady and the town, or to stay a mate for life. Shedashians have had such a good nature that most men want to mate for life. Late summer's also a nurturing portion of the year. The female will cover the offspring less often at this time. If the female has a partner, she'll cuddle him just as much as before. Females without a partner or offspring will be open to try reserving a mate.
Early fall is the time when Shedashians who are over a year old leave the nest if they are a male or have both parents at the time. They will leave WITH their parents out of the town and cease to be citizens. Shedashians who are just mother-daughter will continue to be nurtured for four additional years unless the parent obtains a mate that remains with or gives birth to a male and the male reaches a year before the falls. Mid-fall is when the citizens, single, mated and parents, begin to obtain food at a high rate. They usually buy from the shop(s) and begin to stock in their cellars. It is a busy time and there's usually less cuddling during this time for the mate. Late fall is for some stocking as well. Other Shedashians begin preparing for the cold weather that is arriving. The one, two, three and four year olds also collect leaves of different colours. The reason for this is not fully known. Females also begin making a very cozy nest that they and their mate (if remaining) share happily. During fall, male travellers are noticed, but it may take a little time before they are approached if they are at all.
Regardless of season, the Shedashians love watching couples, especially healthy ones. If a pair ever get too cuddly and surge, the females will help them to an empty house. This applies to travellers as well. Shedashians fear the upper forest and will give up on a male traveller if they head too deep into it. They like knowing that a male or female have a partner. They will help a male or female get a partner if there's even a small sign of love. Single female travellers will be treated well, even if they are not a mating interest. Shedashians will not mate with anyone one metre or taller and not with anyone half a metre or smaller than themselves. They will not mate with those 50kg heavier than them either and will not mate with those under 20kg.
